Satya Doyle Byock, MA, LPC
Psychotherapist, Author, Salome Director

Satya Doyle Byock is a licensed psychotherapist and clinical supervisor in Oregon, and the author of Quarterlife: The Search for Self in Early Adulthood (Random House, 2022). She founded The Salome Institute in 2016. Since then, Salome has hosted hundreds of events online and in person.

Satya’s work has been featured in The New York Times, The Guardian, Oprah Daily, Literary Hub, and on NPR, the BBC, and many podcasts, including Apple News in Conversation, HISTORY This Week, Pulling the Thread, BBC Woman’s Hour, and The Joseph Campbell Foundation Podcast.

She received her Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from Pacifica Graduate Institute, with an emphasis in Depth Psychology. Following graduate school, she worked for The Philemon Foundation, which publishes Jung’s unpublished works, including The Red Book and the Black Books. In 2020, she co-hosted free online gatherings and created a 30-episode podcast on Jung’s Red Book. She loves curating readings, teachings, and experiences for those interested in learning Jungian psychology and the language of the unconscious.
